Norman taking local trip

Stanley Norman had an outstanding summer which included an MVP award at the Rivals.com Underclassmen Challenge near Dallas.
Recruiting has stayed busy but now the 2015 athlete from Culver City, Calif., who shined at wide receiver and defensive back this summer, said he's mainly going to focus on his junior season.

Before that gets underway, though, Norman said he's planning to take an unofficial visit to UCLA soon to see what the Bruins are doing in the preseason and just get a better feel for the program.
UCLA is showing Norman the most interest at this point and he wants to show the Bruins' coaches he likes what they're doing, too.
"I'm pretty much focused on my junior year," Norman said. "We've been working but we're on a dead period right now. I plan on going to hang out at UCLA when I get back from my vacation to Hawaii. I'll probably be over there soon.
"I just want to hang out. Really that's who I talk to the most so I'm going to hang out with the coaches and the players and go watch them play."
So far, the Culver City standout has been offered by Akron, Marshall, San Jose State, UCLA, USC, Utah and Washington State. Michigan, Cincinnati and others are also showing interest but have not offered yet.
Norman said he's planning to stay local this season, not take any major trips, and see where his recruitment heads through his junior year.
"I'm pretty much going to stay close because I'm focusing on the team right now," Norman said. "I'm going to stay local and put in the work."
