Norman could take surprise visit

Stanley Norman has taken his first two official visits and both are under serious consideration as his recruitment winds down.
The Gardena (Calif.) Serra two-way standout injured his knee late in the season but it should not hold him back much longer and he's already started rehab so more trips are on the docket for December.

Norman, the fourth-best athlete in the 2015 class by Rivals.com, has been to Arizona State and Washington State so far and he has connections to both programs.
The four-star recruit is close friends with Wazzu four-star quarterback commit Tyler Hilinski so playing with him in Pullman has become a draw.
"Pretty much it's like I could come in and play right away as a young kid, as a freshman," Norman said of Washington State.
"I enjoyed Wazzu. It was a great experience and it was good to see something I've never seen before. The weather was different but I know if I'm on the field it won't be any bother. It was pretty good. I enjoyed being there and it was pretty fun."
Norman predicts Arizona State could finish with an outstanding recruiting class and he might want to be a part of it. He enjoyed his trip to Tempe but even more playing with friends and other top-notch players is a major factor with the Sun Devils.
"The football part of the ASU trip was great," Norman said. "I enjoyed it. It was really good to know where I'm at with them and understand where I'm at and to know what's the deal. They want me to come in as a corner and also get some packages on offense."
There remains some intrigue in Norman's recruitment in the final weeks.
A secret school could get a late visit in December - Norman won't divulge which one even after heavy prodding - and there's a chance the four-star could take two other trips before his planned announcement at the Army All-American Game.
He was supposed to visit Louisville this weekend but that did not work out. It might be rescheduled but Norman isn't certain.
"My last one will be up in the air, a random one that nobody expected," Norman said. "There is someone I've been talking to that nobody knows about. I should take that visit in December and hopefully I can squeeze two more in."
