Norfolk DT Ruff has an offer

Norfolk (Va.) Norview defensive tackle Klinton Ruff already holds one in-state offer. The 6-foot-4, 295-pounder is getting his share of interest from a few other schools as well as this time. Does Ruff have any favorites?
"He's got an offer from Virginia right now," Norview head coach Robert Toran said. "He hasn't said much about the offer, but he seems excited. He's still very humble about it.

"Virginia Tech has been down here several times and once they got his footage they've been showing interest along with Boston College, East Carolina, North Carolina and others. All the other schools haven't had a chance to see him up close and in person like Virginia did last summer at camp. They are still evaluating him, but will probably offer as well."
Do any colleges lead for the junior lineman?
"I think he wants to go to a college in Virginia," Toran said. "At the same time, I don't think he'll rule anything out. I know he likes both of the Virginia schools. He knows Virginia and Virginia Tech had good classes this past year and also see Tech go to bowl games. We'll have to see how everything pans out for him."
While he's got the size to play offensive tackle, almost every school is looking at Ruff to play on defense.
"He was all-district and led the linemen in tackles and sacks," he said. "I believe he finished with about seven sacks on the year.
"On the line, he has done very well for us getting through double teams and is a solid pass rusher. He has no problem chasing things down on the backside with his speed. I know a lot of scouts tell me they like the way he can move, but he's also really coachable.
"In school, he's got a solid 2.5 GPA and is one of the most popular kids in the school. He's got a budding personality and a smile that lights up a room. Everybody likes him. He also comes from a strong household and is very respectful. Whatever you tell him, he does what it takes to work on it and get better."
