NorCal WR Has Dream School

One of the top receivers in the state next year will no doubt be Stockton (Calif.) St. Mary's Anthony Crosby. Crosby, 6-0, 195 pounds had a big junior season and with talented quarterback Willie Tuitama under center, should put up big numbers once again.
Crosby was a 1st team All-League and 3rd team All-State selection a year ago after catching 55 balls for 987 yards and 19 touchdowns. He added 71 tackles and six picks on defense but prefers the offensive side of the ball.

We saw Crosby at the NorCal Nike Camp a year ago and he performed very well running a 4.62 in the 40, 4.15 in the shuttle and jumped 29 inches in the vertical. He catches the ball very well with his hands rather than his body and is very quick in and out of his breaks. He reminds us a little of BYU bound Austin Collie although not quite as physical just yet.
On the recruiting front, Crosby is hearing from USC, Arizona, Cal, UCLA, Stanford, Washington, Arizona State, Nebraska, Illinois, Oklahoma and Air Force.
"I've always liked Florida State, they have been my favorite school since I was a kid," Crosby said. "They're still my top school even though I'm not hearing from them right now and I also like USC, UCLA, Michigan and Arizona, that would be my top five."
Academically, Crosby is carrying a 2.89 GPA and will take the SAT in June. He scored a 970 on the PSAT and would like to major in Pre-Medicine or Criminal Justice.
