NorCal TE names local leader

A player drawing a lot of early interest in the NorCal region is Modesto (Calif.) Thomas Downey tight end Brad Bispo. Bispo has the size and athleticism to play at the next level without question and could be on the verge of landing his first few offers.
Bispo, 6-5, 210 pounds had a solid junior season catching 52 balls for 965 yards and 11 touchdowns in just seven games a year ago. His stellar play earned him first team all-conference, all-district and third team all-state honors. Bispo is also a two time all-conference selection in basketball and will be a three year starter on the baseball team as well.

On the recruiting front, Bispo is hearing from the entire Pac 10 as well as the Ivy League and has a couple of favorites fairly close to home.
"Stanford is my top school followed by Cal," Bispo said. "I also like Princeton, USC and UC Davis. Academics are important to me and I would have no problem going the Ivy League route if that was best for me. No one has offered me yet but a lot of schools are talking about it. I just haven't received anything in writing yet."
Academically, Bispo is carrying a 3.87 GPA and will take the SAT later in the year. He plans to attend the Nike Camp at Stanford in May.
