NorCal OL lands offer No. 6

We just had a chance to watch junior film on Oakland (Calif.) McClymonds offensive lineman Allen Carroll and there is no doubt he's one of the elite players in the state. In a deep year for lineman in the state, Carroll ranks as one of the best.
Carroll is listed at 6-4, 300 pounds and looks all of that on film. He plays tackle at the high school level but projects as a guard in college. The big lineman has very quick feet and is explosive off the ball. He has very long arms and is already an advanced pass blocker.

As a run blocker, Carroll shows good strength and can cave a whole side of the opposing line by himself. He has the feet to get in to the secondary and take on a linebacker or safety. He doesn't always try and physically manhandle an opposing player like some of the other top linemen in the region but we love his upside and feel he has the tools be a very good college player.
On the recruiting front, Carroll picked up his 6th offer this week and could have one school out in front according to former Warrior coach Alonzo Carter.
"Arizona State just sent the written offer in the mail," Carter said. "That makes six offers now, UCLA, Nebraska, Arizona, Oregon and Washington are the others.
"Allen will take his trips and isn't going to commit early like some of my players in the past have. I know he likes the West Coast, likes warm weather and wants to go somewhere where he can play early and I think Arizona is his favorite school right now. He likes those coaches a lot and I could really see him there but like I said, it's early and he's going to go through the process before doing anything."
Carroll , who earned 1st team all-state last season, will attend the NIKE Camp at Stanford in May.
