NorCal OL has right stuff

While the performance of defensive lineman/tight end DaJohn Harris from Gardena (Calif.) Serra at USC's camp this past weekend has been well-documented and justly so. He was a man out there.
There was only one player who was able to get a win over Harris during the one-on-one drills and that player was offensive guard Fred Koloto (6-4, 270, 5.2) from Palo Alto, Calif.

Koloto was very impressive at the camp from his offensive guard spot. He won every battle he had except one that he ended up losing to Harris. But remember he was the only lineman to win a round with Harris.
The whole Pac-10 came by the Palo Alto campus this past spring. He currently has three offers from Nebraska, BYU and San Jose State.
Cal, Washington, and Utah could have pending offers for the talented offensive lineman from Palo Alto.
Nebraska thinks Koloto can play offensive center, guard or defensive tackle on the D-I level. Most of the other schools recruiting him like him as an offensive lineman.
"USC is in my early top-two," Koloto said. "I just love the way both of those two great schools present themselves to me."
Koloto had an outstanding junior season that saw him earn league Lineman of the Year, all-CCS and second-team all-state honors for his 2005 season.
"I just loved the USC Camp," Koloto said. "The intensity was great and the way we were coached was extremely professional."
"I was able to compete with and against people I have read about on Rivals.com," Koloto said. "It was a great experience for me."
"I'm looking for a school with a good academic program," Koloto said. "I don't know how far football will take me but if I graduate with a degree it will set me up for a real good job."
In the weight room, Koloto currently benches 295-pounds and recorded a 26-inch vertical.
Koloto is definitely one to keep your eyes on this fall. His stock could explode this fall.
