NorCal lineman having strong season

One of the state's top lineman on both sides of the ball this year is Sacramento (Calif.) Inderkum's Greg Grimes. Grimes had a breakout performance at the NorCal NIKE Camp and he has continued his strong play this season.
Grimes, 6-1, 285 pounds worked out with the defensive linemen at the NIKE Camp at Stanford last May and had a such a dominating performance, he earned Camp MVP honors for his position. Heading in to the camp, we had always thought of Grimes as more of an offensive lineman as he was voted his league OL of the year after his junior season.

He did rack up 62 tackles and force five fumbles as a junior and he has played well again this year.
"Many people around here have said he's the most aggressive offensive lineman in the area as well as the most aggressive defensive lineman in all of Northern CA," Grimes' father Greg Sr. said. "San Diego State has offered and we'll probably take an official visit up there in the next few weeks.
"We also want to take a couple of visits in December and a couple in January. In the Pac 10, Oregon State, Washington State, Cal and Oregon are all actively recruiting Greg. He has been to a couple of Cal games this year, when they played Tennessee and Oregon State.
"Fresno State, Nevada, Idaho, Boise State and San Jose State are staying in contact with him in the WAC. A few schools back east and a few schools in the Big 12 are still in contact as well."
