NorCal Linebacker Down To Four

Sacramento (Calif.) Grant linebacker Worrell Williams has been consistently saying all year that he didn’t want to focus much on recruiting until his senior season was over. Fortunately for him, Grant went all the way to the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Div. I Finals defeating Stockton (Calif.) Edison 14-6.
“It was our school’s 5th title in the last 11 years but my first so I was really excited about,” Williams said. “It was a defensive struggle but we did enough to win the game. They had some players that just would not stop talking all game long but we were the only ones doing the talking when the game was over.”

Williams, 6-0, 240 pounds is one of the top linebacker prospects in the West region. He’s the younger half-brother of Miami Hurricane linebacker D.J Williams and said the Canes are one school he definitely plans to visit.
“I’m going to get everything set up on Wednesday,” Williams said. “Right now, my final four schools are Washington, Cal, Tennessee and Miami in no order. All but Miami have offered but they said they could once they get me out there on my trip. I’m taking this weekend off, it’s just a little too late to set anything up so I’ll have to take all my visits in January and I’ll probably be ready to decide sometime close to Signing Day.”
