NorCal athlete getting noticed

Hayward, Calif., has four players who have an excellent chance of playing D-I football. All four performed admirably at the NIKE Camp held in Palo Alto and attracted many D-I schools to the campus. One of them is Rover/outside linebacker Joe Moore (6-3, 210, 4.6).
"San Diego State came right out of the shoot and offered Joe back in February," Hayward coach Casey Moreno said. "He has a pending offer from UNLV. Both San Diego State and UNLV since the NIKE Camp."

Other schools that have been by the school and are showing interest in Moore are Arizona, Cal, Washington State and Colorado.
Moore is one of those players who always plays big when the pressure is at its most intense.
"Joe really rises to the occasion," Moreno said. "In our league championship game he racked up 12 tackles and had one fumble recovery."
"We play Joe as a rover," Moreno said. "We roll him up and use him as a force player. He is being recruited as an outside linebacker."
Moore earned all-league honors after accounting for 78 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, two interceptions (one that he returned for a touchdown) and two fumble recoveries.
The scouting report on Moore is he's very athletic, fast and as a nose for the football.
"Joe is very intellectual and analytical," Moreno said. "He's always looking for ways to improve."
"Joe is not afraid to confront his weaknesses as a football player," Moreno said. "He just wants to be the best player that he can be and he's pretty good already."
Moore is currently benches 275, squats 415 and has recorded a 32-inch vertical jump.
Moore will attend the Cal camp with his team this coming June.
