NorCal ATH likes the Big 12

A year ago, Oakland (Calif.) McClymonds had one of the most loaded teams in the nation led by three players ranked among the top 100 recruits in the nation. This year's squad may lack the star power of a year ago but still boast some high level Div I talent including athlete Kyler O'Neal.
O'Neal, 5-11, 190 pounds is a linebacker for the Warriors but is also getting looks as a possible safety down the line because of his size and athleticism. As a junior, the athlete racked up 65 tackles, eight sacks and two interceptions for arguably the top defense in the state.

"Kyler is doing real well right now," Warriors coach Alonzo Carter said. "We were just at the USC prospect camp a few weeks ago and he did a nice job there. Ken Norton said he likes him a lot but just wasn't sure he was big enough to play 'backer for them.
"He also camped with San Jose State and they offered him. Colorado and Nebraska have also offered and those are his top two right now with Colorado leading. Right now, the plan is Kyler will likely take official visits during the season to those two schools and that might be it for him before he's ready to make his decision.
"Pac 10 wise, Oregon and Washington State are the other schools he likes. Oregon plays with that rover back that is kind of a cross between a safety and linebacker and that would be a good fit for him but I think more than likely, it will be one of the two Bog 12 schools for Kyler."
O'Neal had an impressive showing at the NorCal NIKE Camp where he clocked a 4.73 in the 40, jumped 31 inches in the vertical and did 20 reps on the bench.
