NorCal ahtlete lands first offer

Running back/strong safety Bryan Hilliard (6-0, 203, 4.6) from Elk Grove (Calif.) Laguna Creek has had a good spring at combines and has picked up his first offer.
"Many of the schools on Bryan's list had him rated as the second or third best back at the entire NIKE Camp in Palo Alto," Laguna Creek assistant coach Ryan Gomes said. "He showed a great work ethic and performed extremely well in the drills."

"In one-one's, he consistently ran by linebackers and caught the ball over and over again," Gomes said. "Schools have contacted me about early offers that they plan to give to Bryan."
"Nevada has already offered and I expect more shortly."
Some of those schools taking an advanced interest in Hilliard are Colorado, Fresno State, Oregon State, UCLA, Washington, Washington State, and Cal.
At the recent NIKE Camp he ran a the 40 in 4.7, the shuttle in 4.3, had 15 reps of 185-pounds on the bench and recorded a 33.6 vertical jump for a SPARQ rating of 74.
As a junior, Hilliard was an all-league selection in 2005 after playing in only seven games due to an injury and sharing touches with Cal bound Jeremy Ross.
Hilliard rushed for 585 yards and scored six touchdowns in his seven games while racking up 39 tackles from his safety position.
The scouting report on Hilliard is he has the talent to play on either side of the ball on the D-I level. He prefers to play running back but whatever side of the ball can get him on the field first is okay with him. He is a team first type of guy.
