Wide receiver/safety Todd Nolen has been one of the most highly recruited athletes in the region for the better part of several months. Is he narrowing things down?
"Right now you could say that I'm pretty much looking at Virginia, Virginia Tech, Penn State and UNC," said Nolen. "I think I'm going to Virginia Tech on an official visit Jan. 28, and the week before I should be at Penn State. The week before that I'll be at North Carolina. Other than that I don't have anything set up."
The 6-foot-3, 185-pound prospect from Hampton, Va. caught more than 50 passes for 1,500 yards and 16 touchdowns as a senior, earning a reputation as one of the most explosive players in the Atlantic East region.
"Coaches have been coming by pretty regularly, just checking in and letting me know that they're hoping I'll sign with them. Coach London from Virginia, Coach Browning from Carolina and a coach from Penn State have all been by."
When does he plan on making a decision?
"The way it's set up now, I'll probably be waiting until the last part of January or around Signing Day. I'm going to Virginia Tech the last weekend in January, so I'll probably at least wait until I've been on that, just so I'll know everything I should know."
