NoCal QB is a record setter

The Golden State of California is always known for their quarterbacks and in the early going it looks like the traditional fine play from the position will continue. One signal caller to keep your eye on is Jamie Jensen (6-3, 205, 4.85) from Gilroy, Calif.
Jensen was named Northern California Player of the Year, League MVP, first-team all-section and second-team all-state as junior.

Jensen broke the Northern California single game yards record when he threw for 486 yards in a single contest in 2007. In the very same game, he tied the Northern California record for touchdowns passes in a single game with eight.
For the season, Jensen threw for 4,323 yards and 41 touchdowns.
"Jamie is unflappable," Gilroy coach Rich Hammond said. "His ability to control his body and mind while there is pressure in the pocket and still get the ball downfield makes him special.
"Jamie throws a good deep ball, is very tough and makes the right reads," Hammond said. "He's a great leader and helped us have the best record in school history and led to our first championship game. We're definitely happy that Jamie is coming back this season.
The scouting report on Jensen is he has great pocket presence. He was known as a thrower with tremendous, but since he's been working with quarterback guru Roger Theder and Peter Goodsen his velocity is much better.
Jensen can make all the throws and is very coachable. He also has tremendous poise. He doesn't get bent out of shook up when everything all around him is very chaotic.
Colleges showing early interest in Jensen are BYU, Utah, Boise State, Stanford, Washington, Northwestern, and Ohio State.
Washington has already been by the school and there were rumors that they Huskies may make an early offer.
Definitely a player to track this spring.
