Colleges such as Boise State, Fresno State, Nevada, UNLV, Arizona, Cal, Stanford, and UCLA have shown interest in McCarthy.
"I was invited to the Stanford game last Saturday," McCarthy said. "I left them my senior highlight film."
"Arizona was by the school recently and UNLV was by on Friday," McCarthy said. "Boise State told me they will be by my school when they are in town to play San Jose State."
"UCLA called the school recently and Cal and Stanford have requested my transcripts," McCarthy said. "I haven't set any visits to any schools because we don't have any bye weeks. I will start set visits after the season."
The scouting report on McCarthy is very athletic for a guy his size. He's very smart on and off the field. He takes all AP courses at a very tough academic school, he carries a 3.6 GPA and scored a qualifying 1910 SAT score on the first time he took the exam.
Possessing a great work ethic, McCarthy worked on his overall quickness with Velocity over the summer.
