He is hearing from on a pretty consistent basis from Arizona State, Kansas State and Utah. The though the Utes have slowed it down a bit according to Walker.
“I really can’t think about visits until the season is over,” Walker said. “I have to concentrate on the playoffs and the rest of my senior season.”
“As soon as the season is over,” Walker said. “I will start to set visits.”
“Until then my coach wants me to stay focused and put the team first,” Walker said. “And that is what I’m going to do.”
“I would like to hear from Cal,” Walker said. “I have only received letter from them, but no phone calls.”
Walker has put up some impressive numbers so far in 2004. He has accounted for 97 tackles, seven sacks and one fumble recovery that he returned 24 yards for a touchdown.
Though Walker plays the Mike position in high school he will more than likely be moved to the outside when he gets on a college campus.
In an earlier interview with Grant coach Mike Alberghini he was very generous with his praise for Walker.
“Reggie has been very impressive this season,” Grant said. “He’s leading the team in tackles and has been a tremendous presence on our defense.”
Walker is still leading his team in tackles by over 20.
“Reggie is big hitter and is very aggressive,” Alberghini said. “He’s our defensive leader.”
