NoCal 2010 LB has multiple offers

While for most of the recruiting class of 2009, things are slowing down, but for some players in the class of 2010, things are already heating up as one class passes the torch to the next. One player already feeling the heat in linebacker/defensive end Chris Martin (6-4, 232, 4.6) from Oakland (Calif.) Bishop O'Dowd.
Martin has offers on the table from the likes of Cal, Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, USC, Georgia, LSU, North Carolina, Colorado, Nebraska and more.

Martin is hearing from just about every school in the nation and already has 16 offers.
As a junior, Martin earned first-team all-state, first-team all-league and first-team all-area after accounting for 115 tackles, 40 tackles for loss and four sacks.
Martin is another big time player who is not going to leave things to chance and will be working on his skills this offseason at the NIKE Camp and USC's prestigious Rising Star Camp.
What is Martin looking for in a college?
"Playing time will be key," Martin said. "I want an opportunity to come in and play early. Academics will also play a very important role in my decision."
"Location will not be a problem," Martin said. "Basically, I will go wherever I fit in. I am still very open to all schools."
"I had leaders, but things have changes," Martin said. "Some places that I was looking at have had position coaching changes and I would want to get to know the new coaches before making a determination. I don't care where I will play, either defensive end or outside linebacker, but if I had a preference it would be linebacker."
"I think I will be taking unofficial visits to Colorado and Notre Dame," Martin said. "When I go to USC for the Rising Stars Camp, I will visit USC and UCLA."
"I would like to visit Georgia, LSU and Tennessee, but I'm not sure if I will be able to do so this summer."
