No Visits Set For Rivals 100 RB

Newport News (Va.) Heritage superstar running back Michael Johnson has received over 100 phone calls since September 1st and it doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon. Despite the attention, the 5-foot-10, 180-pounder with 4.3-second speed in the 40-yard dash has yet to set up any official visit dates.
“I know I’ll go to Miami on an official visit sometime in December,” said the Rivals 100 member. “I’ll also take a visit to Virginia and Florida. I might go to the Florida-Florida State game but I’m not sure yet.”

And the other teams that might get visits?
“I’m not really sure,” he said. “Tennessee is interesting and I just spoke to Boston College for about 45 minutes. The coach there, Coach (Keith) Willis is a cool guy.”
Johnson ran for 128 yards on just 14 carries in his first game of the season, a 28-7 win over Lake Taylor.
“It should have been 42-7,” he said with a laugh. “I scored two touchdowns but also had two called back.”
Johnson caught two passes as well and knocked two down on defense. It seems that it could come down to the two Florida schools and Virginia in the long run.
“I looked at the Miami depth chart and didn’t like what I saw,” he said. “They have a ton of great running backs.”
Johnson and his teammates play Hampton this Friday.
