No rushing decision for Brown

Thomas Brown is being honest.
The Gardena (Calif.) Serra inside linebacker is not entirely sure how he's going to handle the recruiting process going forward.
Since it's still so new to him, Brown said he's going to take his time, talk more with lots of college coaches and probably figure it out later.

"I really haven't decided on how I'm going to go about the situation," Brown said. "I want to view everything and I want to see what every school has to offer right now. I'm just going to go along as it comes."
Arizona State and SMU have offered the 6-foot-2, 212-pound recruit who was one of the best-looking linebackers at the Los Angeles NIKE Camp. The Sun Devils especially stand out mainly because Brown has taken an unofficial visit to Tempe and liked it. It's still early but Arizona State could be considered a favorite.
"ASU is a very cool school," Brown said. "It's very nice. I took an unofficial visit out there.
"It's the first school I took a visit to and it's the only school I've seen so far. Since that's the only school I've seen it's high on the radar but I'm open to see what other schools have to offer and I want to see what best fits me."
In recent weeks, Oregon State, UCLA and Colorado have started to get involved with Brown, who transferred to Serra from Long Beach St. Anthony's. He finished with about 90 tackles last season.
"Those are the three main schools I've been getting a lot of info from and in the past two weeks I've been talking to a lot of other coaches so it's looking better," Brown said.
It is still quite early in Brown's recruitment especially because he recently told Rivals.com that he wants to take official visits before making a decision. That pushes his timetable to sometime in the fall.
