No longer the loaf king

Last season was a pretty good one for Shane Gordon. Gordon, 5-11 and 224 pounds, plays inside linebacker and running back for Weston (Fla.) Cypress Bay. He claims to have that his play is for four quarters this season.
"Last year my teammates and coaches called me the 'loaf king'," Gordon said. "I have to admit that for whatever reason I took some plays off. Not this year. I have played hard. My coverage skills have also improved. I think I have had a good season so far."

Cypress Bay is 10-1 and they face Miramar (Fla.) High School this week in the second round of the playoffs. Last week they beat North Miami Beach 29-19.
In terms of recruiting, Gordon insists that he's still wide open. He has taken one official visit so far. That visit was to Auburn back in September.
"I had fun at Auburn, although I was a little sick. But they are a big program that I like. I also know some people that go there. I like the fans and the community.
"Right now I am wide open. I can't really say what I will do until I take all of my visits. Coaches are still calling and I am still trying to figure things out."
