No Leaders For CB Hamilton

Centreville, Va. cornerback Marcus Hamilton is still looking around for a solid top five.

“I’m interested in NC State, Virginia, Syracuse, Clemson, Georgia, Tennessee, Pitt and Boston College,” the 6-foot, 180-pounder said. “I want to play as a true freshman so I’m trying to see where that can happen.”

Hamilton has offers from all of his favorites and is considered to be the top cover corner in Virginia this year. He had two interceptions last season and batted down 11 passes. Hamilton runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds and bench presses 245 pounds. After listing Syracuse and NC State as his leaders on separate occasions, Hamilton doesn’t have a favorite right now.

“NC State brought in some good corners last year and they haven’t been recruiting me as hard lately,” he said. “I like the Syracuse coaches and I think I could play early at UVA. Clemson, Georgia, Tennessee and Pitt are all top programs and BC has been recruiting me the hardest of late. I want to take some official visits and learn about the schools.”
