No Leader For Top RB

Newport News (Va.) Heritage running back Michael Johnson has one game left in his high school career as his team is not going to make the playoffs this year.
“We’re out of it,” said the 5-foot-10, 180-pound speedster. “I had seven carries for 136 yards last game and we finish out this Friday.”

Johnson has been frustrated all season because he doesn’t get enough carries. He’s also frustrated by online services that continue to state he has a leader.
“Man, I don’t know where they get that stuff because I always say I don’t have a favorite,” he said of a recent report that Miami was his leader. “They also had Virginia Tech in my top five and that’s not the case either.”
Johnson will visit Michigan State on November 9th and has visits with Miami (12/7) and Virginia (1/18) set as well. His last two visits will be to Florida, Florida State or Tennessee.
“I’ll set my last two up in a little while,” he said. “I’m not in a rush because I won’t decide until late January or early February.”
