Miami Central Prospects
Darnell Salomon
WR Darnell Salomon - Salomon holds multiple offers, but seems particularly high on Oklahoma and Alabama.
DE Keir Thomas - Thomas is committed to Florida State.
ATH Jamel Cook - Cook, who plays multiple positions, is committed to Florida State. He will likely play safety as a Seminole.
DE Eric Mitchell - Mitchell is committed to Florida.
OL Navaughn Donaldson (2017) - Donalson recently committed to Miami and is expected to continue to look around.
LB Waynmon Steed (2017) - Steed is committed to Miami but will likely visit other campuses as his high school career progresses.
DeMatha Prospects
Shane Simmons
DE Shane Simmons - Simmons is committed to Penn State.
OL Terrance Davis - Davis has locked in official visits to Georgia, Michigan and UCLA. Alabama is also in good position to make Davis' top five.
ATH Robbie Robinson - Robinson is committed to Arizona State.
ATH Darryl Turner - Turner is committed to Maryland.
WR Tino Ellis - Ellis is committed to Maryland.
RB Lorenzo Harrison - Harrison is committed to Maryland.
OL Elijah Johnson - Johnson is committed to Rutgers.
RB Anthony McFarland (2017) - Georgia is leading for McFarland but Alabama, Michigan and some others have caught his attention.
OL Marcus Minor (2017) - Minor is on the verge of blowing up. West Virginia is the latest school to offer and more are on the way.
DE Chase Young (2017) - Much like Minor, Young is blowing up as well. Tennessee just added itself to Young's growing list of offers.
DT Austin Fontaine (2018) - Fontaine burst onto the scene after earning an offer from Georgia at its camp earlier this offseason. Since then, Maryland and Penn State have offered and many more will likely follow suit.
Looking Ahead
Lorenzo Harrison
Many of the prospects in this game are already committed to schools in their respective region. That said, things change quickly in recruiting and any number of players could end up taking a hard look around down the road. Maryland, Miami and Florida State will be heavily represented on the field.
Quotables
Keir Thomas
Miami Central assistant coach Gerald Cox:
"DeMatha is a very physical up front and have some tough running backs. They are a well-disciplined team. They can cause a lot of turnovers with their team speed."
DeMatha coach Elijah Brooks:
"We definitely looked at their lineman, their 2017 guard or tackle. They are rated highly and they are extremely athletic and physical. They just punish defenders. Then there is Jamel Cook, who is about 6-foot-4, covers ground and has ball skills. He will be tough in the secondary. Keir Thomas, they can put him anywhere on the defensive line and he will dominate. Their transfer, Darnell Salomon, is just an elite wide receiver that can go up and get the ball and puts pressure on the defense."
