No. 18 player in Michigan commits

Allen Park, Mich., two-way star Derek Brighton said all along that he wanted to get his decision with out of the way before the season started. And after narrowing his list to a few teams, the list has been narrowed to one and a commitment has been made.
"Derek committed to Bowling Green as a receiver," Brighton's mother, Connie Brighton said. "He committed back on August 11, and we're really excited about it."

Bowling Green is getting a good player.
Brighton is 5-foot-11 and 173 pounds, and he had an impressive 4.31-second time in the shuttle at the Ann Arbor NIKE Training Camp. Brighton was also offered by Eastern Michigan and Ball State before committing to Bowling Green.
Brighton, ranked as the No. 18 player in Michigan by Rivals.com, was recruited by Bowling Green running backs coach Dennis Springer.
