No. 1 player back at square one
The Aggie, Longhorn and Sooner fan base have been waiting with baited breath to find out what the latest is with the nation’s No. 1 player – Adrian Peterson – after the stud running back took an unofficial visit to Texas A&M this past weekend.
How did it compare to Oklahoma and Texas, where he visited the past two previous weeks and where is he heading to this weekend?

“It was really cool,” Peterson said.
“I have been over to A&M a lot of times, so the environment was probably more familiar than any of the other schools. It was a really exciting atmosphere and the fans were really into the game all the way until the end.
"Everybody knew who I was and that was something kind of exciting, too. It was a lot like my visit to Oklahoma. There wasn’t a whole lot different.”
Now the burning question is whether or not the Aggies were able to push Oklahoma out of the No. 1 spot on his list?
“I don’t know,” Peterson said.
“I really like them both a lot and I see the advantages of going to both of those schools and they’re very similar. I like how they both run the ball. I know could contribute pretty early, and I like the coaches. I guess I’m not sure.”
That’s something Peterson expects and that’s why he’s going to take several other unofficial visits to Texas, OU and A&M before he makes any kind of decision. But his official visit tour does begin this weekend when the 6-foot-3, 210-pound running back takes a visit to UCLA.
“We’re off this week, so I thought it would be a great time to go out there and see what’s going on,” Peterson said. “Then next week, I’m going to the Red River Shootout to see OU and Texas play. I’ll also be at the Oklahoma-Oklahoma State game and then the Texas-Texas A&M game.”
As you can see there are plenty of trips and definitely some more twists and turns to go in the battle to land the best running back in Texas and the nation’s top prospect.
“I’m a long way from deciding anything,” Peterson said.
