ThelasttimeKamarawasatacampheplayedthroughaminorhipinjury,butheseemedtobeinjury-freethistimeandwasveryimpressive.Hewasexplosiveoffoftheline,aggressivewithhishandstogetoffthepresscoverageandsmoothwhenhewasinhisroutes.TwothingsthatstoodoutaboutKamarawerehishandsandhowcrisphisrouteswere.AlmosteverythingthrownKamara'swaywascaughtandhewasusuallysowideopenbecausehecreatedalotofseparationwiththewayheranhisroutes.

3.ATHJuwannWinfree,Englewood(N.J.)DwightMorrow

TheremaynothavebeenamoreexplosiveplayerthanWinfreeonthefieldallweekend.Hewassofastgettingoffthelineandintohisroutesthatdefensivebackswerealmostimmediatelyastepbehind.Winfreecontinuouslybeatthedefendersdeepforlongtouchdowncatchesandcreatedgreatseparationonhiscrossingroutes.OneofthefewthingsthatWinfreecouldlearntodobetterisnottorunintocoverageoncehegainsseparation.

4.QBDavidSills,Elkton(Md.)EasternChristianAcademy,(2015)

ItwasveryclearthatnoneofthequarterbacksatthecampunderstoodthegameandpassingconceptsaswellasSills.Onnearlyeveryplay,heknewwhichreceiverwouldbeopenbasedonwhatthedefensewasdoing.Mechanically,Sillshasaverycompact,quickthrowingmotion.Hedeliversanaccurateball,buthisarmstrengthisabitofaconcernifhewantstofittheballintoatightwindow.

Simonswasthebigsurpriseofthecamp.WithonlyoneofferfromTempleClick5.WRTroySimons,Pittsburgh(Pa.)RenaissanceChristianAcademyHeretoviewthisLink.,the6-foot-1,185-poundreceiverisrawbuthasgreatnaturalabilitieswhenitcomestocatchingtheball.Simonsisalsoagoodjump-ballreceiver.Hehasagoodverticalleapandisgoodatpositioninghimselfwelltogettheball.Simonsneedstogetintheweightroomtoaddstrengthbecausehegotjammedatthelineafewtimes.

6.WRFreddyCanteen,Elkton(Md.)EasternChristianAcademy

Canteenisagoodrouterunnerwithgoodhands.Histechniqueforbreakingpresscoverageissolid,butheisnotverystrongandcangetbumpedoffhisroute.Canteenhadfewgame-breakingplaysbutwasasolidtargetonateamthathadaplethoraofqualityreceivers.Theexplosivenesshehasoutofhisbreaksishisbestasset.

7.QBNickJohns,Washington(D.C.)Gonzaga,(2015)

Johnswasapleasantsurprise.Heisastrong-armedquarterbackwithgoodmechanicsandfootworkwhocanmakeallthethrows.Hisaccuracywasabitinconsistent,buthethrewaverycatchableballandcouldreadthedefensewell.Johnshasalittlewhiletodevelop,sohewillbeinterestingtowatch.

8.QBTJLinta,Hamden(Conn.)HamdenHallCountryDaySchool

Lintaisawell-put-togethersignalcallerwithagreatfeelforthegame.Heknewwhentothrowtheballdeepandwhentodumpitoff.Hehasgoodmechanicsandfootwork.Lintashowedgoodaccuracy,andtherewasonesequenceofthreeplaysonwhichhethrewperfectballstocornerroutesonoppositesidesofthefield.Unfortunately,playinginConnecticut,Lintadoesnotgettherecognitionhedeserves.

9.WRCameronChambers,Philadelphia(Pa.)SaintJoseph's(2016)

NormallyChambersisdominantatcampslikethese,buthestillturnedinaqualityperformance.Hisbestassetsarehissizeandathleticism.At6-foot-3,180pounds,Chambersshowedgreatathleticismgoinginandoutofhisbreaksandusedhisframetoblockoutdefenderstomakethecatch.Chamberswasnottargetedasmuchasheusuallyis,buthemadeenoughplaystobedeservingofthismention.

10.QBBrandonWimbush,JerseyCity(N.J.)St.Peter'sPrep,(2015)

Wimbush has a cannon of an arm and showed that plenty of times when throwing long balls to Juwann WinfreeClick Here to view this Link.. He still needs to work on reading defenses, staying patient and taking what the defense gives him. His accuracy is improving, but he did not have a relationship with most of the receivers on his team this weekend so that could have played a factor.
