NJs Beckford up to five offers

Offers are mounting for Irvington, N.J. linebacker Dwayne Beckford. Last time Rivals heard from the 6-foot-0, 209-pounder he had scholarships from Toledo and Temple. Now he's added three more offers to the list from the Big East and Big Ten.
"I've got offers from Michigan State, Syracuse and Connecticut too," he said. "Syracuse and Connecticut came soon after the Elite College Combine and then Michigan State was about a month ago.
"Of the offers, I'd say I really like Michigan State and Temple. Temple is close to home and I just like the school at Michigan State. I guess you could say those are my favorites."
The two-star prospect is hearing from a handful of other schools as well including Rutgers, Kansas State and Alabama.
"They are all sending me letters and inviting me to camps," he said. "I haven't scheduled any camps yet, but will probably go to Pittsburgh, Toledo and I'm trying to get to Michigan State."
With a couple favorites already, is Beckford closer to a decision?
"I'll probably wait out my options and take official visits. I don't want to do anything too early."
