NJs Beckford talks offers, favorites

Linebacker Dwayne Beckford out of Irvington, N.J. continues to hold seven offers. The 6-foot-0, 209-pounder is hearing from numerous other schools in hopes of receiving some more offers.
"I still have offers from UConn, Toledo, Temple, Syracuse, Michigan State, Purdue and ECU," he said. "I'm also getting letters from Tennessee, Alabama and Rutgers. They are just telling me little things like what they can do for me and stuff. They aren't really talking about offers though."

Late last month, the Garden State linebacker took in camp at Rutgers.
"I did well there, but I don't know what's going on. They continue to send me letters and I'm just waiting."
More visits appear to be on the horizon for Beckford as he's looking to visit a couple of the schools that have offered.
"I'm trying to get down to Michigan State and then maybe Syracuse," he said. "I really like both of those schools. I just like the program at Michigan State and what they've done. Syracuse is pretty good too.
"I do like some other schools too including Purdue, Temple and Rutgers. Purdue's got a good program too and Temple and Rutgers are close to home."
Despite holding offers from most of his leaders, Beckford claims he's not close to a decision.
"I'm going to wait until after I take officials. It's going to take awhile."
