NJ TE planning a Notre Dame visit

Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep is no stranger to producing BCS level talent, and one of the top recruits to keep on this recruiting cycle is tight end Tom Sweeney. At 6-foot-6 and 225 pounds, Sweeney has caught the attention of several top college programs.
"Recruiting is going pretty well," said Sweeney. "Rutgers, Miami, Notre Dame, Boston College, Penn State and Temple are showing the most interest so far."

Sweeney was not able to attend any college games during the fall, but he does plan to hit the road this winter, spring and summer.
"I'm going to visit Notre Dame for sure and hopefully I'll take some more visits," said Sweeney, who was then asked about his visit to South Bend. "I've never been to that part of the country, much less the campus, so it will be interesting to see the campus and their facilities. I know about the tradition there, so I'm looking forward to seeing some of that firsthand and the overall atmosphere of the team."
Sweeney also hopes to take a closer look at Miami, Rutgers, Boston College, Penn State and Temple when he has the opportunity.
In the meantime he will be keeping himself busy in other ways.
"I'm finishing basketball, then spring ball, visiting some schools and spending a lot of time in the weight room," said Sweeney. "I want to get bigger, faster, improve my blocking, route running and things like that."
