NJ receiver lands his first offer

Piscataway, N.J. wide receiver Jeremy Crayton pulled in his first scholarship in the past couple weeks. Who did the 6-foot-0, 184-pounder land the offer from and is anyone else close to offering as well?
"I got my first offer about a week and a half ago from Akron," he said. "I like Akron. It's a good school for me.

"I'm also hearing from West Virginia and North Carolina."
Crayton believes the Tar Heels are close to offering.
"North Carolina is recruiting me as a cornerback," he said. "I went down there for one day camp and the coaches fell in love with me. I think they are about to offer me a full scholarship. They just want to see my transcript and clips from my first game. I think that's where I want to go if they offer.
"Right now I have a verbal from North Carolina. They just want to see my transcripts. I like the coaches a lot. They don't feed you a lot of gas and the area is very nice. I have a good relationship with the coaches."
While he awaits word of an offer from North Carolina, Crayton is considering other visits possibly to Connecticut and Delaware.
Crayton and Piscataway kick off the season on September 12th.
"Our team is looking very good," he said. "We lost about seven or eight starters last year.
"I'm hoping to get more tackles and more interceptions. I'd like to get back to the championship and win it all this year."
