NJ receiver lands first offer

North Brunswick, N.J. wide receiver Andrew Opoku picked up his first offer recently. The 6-foot-4, 209-pounder is still awaiting a Division I scholarship, but many major schools are already taking an interest.
"I got an offer from Illinois State last week," he said. "I've been talking to Coach D'Onofrio from Temple and Coach Lakatos from Connecticut. I'm also being evaluated by Pittsburgh and Illinois."

What are schools telling him?
"All of them are waiting on my grades," he said. "I take the SAT in November and January."
Currently Opoku claims no leader.
"I don't like anybody," he said. "I'm just going with the flow right now. I'm trying to stay focused on my grades. None of this matters until my grades are right.
"I am looking for a good tradition, nice atmosphere and good coaches. I want a solid team."
Opoku plans to take visits in the future to a few schools including Pittsburgh, Connecticut, Illinois State and perhaps Maine.
