The Chip Kelly hire at UCLA was one of the biggest coaching moves this year but it clearly has had some repercussions on the recruiting trail. On the first day of the early signing period, Rivals250 wide receiver Jahan Dotson out of Nazareth (Pa.) Nazareth Area flipped his commitment to Penn State and signed his National Letter of Intent for the Nittany Lions.

IN HIS OWN WORDS…

"My relationships at Penn State are still strong," Dotson said. "We stopped talking for a while but we started talking again and those relationships are still there.

"Coach Gattis has been talking to me about everything," he said. "I always enjoy talking with him. He's a great guy."

RIVALS' REACTION…

Dotson is one of the best playmakers in this class. He is on the smaller side but his speed, explosiveness, quickness, and ball skills are exceptional. Dotson will see a lot of benefits from the player development program at Penn State and should help the coaching staff create mismatches once he can consistently get on the field.
