Berwyn (Pa.) Conestoga wide receiver Nihja White committed to Duke last month. The 6-foot-0, 195-pounder decided recently to take an official last weekend following Ted Roof's dismissal.
"I went on the visit to William & Mary to see how comfortable I felt at Duke," he said. "After going there, I definitely liked Duke even more.
"At Duke, the recruits and I just clicked, we're all cool and can talk. We hung out together and it felt like family. We didn't even talk about football there. It's more about family at Duke."
Duke also landed a new head coach recently, Tennessee offensive coordinator David Cutcliffe.
"I haven't talked to him, but I've heard he's a pretty good guy and looking at getting some of his assistants from Ole Miss," he said. "I like the fact he loves to pass the ball a lot too.
"I'm pretty happy on the choice and solid on my decision. I love Duke."
White finished his senior season with 53 receptions for 1,088 yards and 19 touchdowns.
"I did that in nine games," he said. "The camps played a big part into my successful season. Playing against these other guys, I got used to everything being faster and it made things a lot easier."
