Nicol selects Ohio State
The recruiting merry-go-round has come to an end for Beaver (Pa.) Area tight end Rory Nicol. Nicol will officially announce on Thursday that he has selected Ohio State over Florida and a host of others who also offered a scholarship.
Nicol made official visits to Pitt (Nov. 28), Florida (Dec. 2), Ohio State (Dec. 5) and Georgia Tech (Dec. 9).

He had planned on taking his final visit to Virginia, but narrowed things down to Ohio State and Florida before selecting the Buckeyes.
The 6-foot-5 and 245 pound Nicol caught 18 passes for over 200 yards during his senior seasson and also played defensive end. Nicol is the Rivals.com number four tight end prospect and has a four star rating.
