As expected, Beaver (Pa.) Area tight end Rory Nicol officially announced his commitment to Ohio State at a press conference moments ago. Nicol announced that he had selected Ohio State over Florida and a host of others who also offered a scholarship.
"He just did that at a press conference here," athletic department secretary Millie McCann said. "He selected Ohio State."

The 6-foot-5 and 245 pound Nicol caught 18 passes for over 200 yards during his senior seasson and also played defensive end. Nicol is the Rivals.com number four tight end prospect and has a four star rating.
