Rivals250 defensive back Montae Nicholson's recruitment has been a hot topic on the national stage lately. Michigan recently ended their recruitment of the Monroeville (Pa.) Gateway star, but he has set up an official visit to the Wolverines' instate rival.
"This official visit to Michigan State was planned really recently," the 6-foot-2, 202-pound Nicholson said. "They have been recruiting me hard and they've said I could play on both sides of the ball.
"The only people I sort of know up there are Delton Williams and Demetrious Cox," he said. "I've been in touch with Coach (Mark) Staten, Coach (Dave) Warner and Coach (Mark) Dantonio a lot."
Nicholson had announced a list of top schools that included the Spartans as well as a number of other teams from coast to coast.
"Michigan State is sitting pretty good with me, considering they're one of my official visits," said Nicholson. "I'll take another look at everything after my officials. I think I'll be up there Saturday morning."
Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami, Oregon, Penn State , Pittsburgh , Stanford, Temple, Virginia Tech and West Virginia are Nicholson's other top schools.
He has sent up an official visit to Oregon on October 25.
