Nicholson is set to announce

Rivals250 cornerback Demetrious Nicholson is set to announce a decision. The 5-foot-11, 167-pounder plans to make his decision later this week between five schools.

"He's announcing at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the school," Bayside head coach Darnell Moore said.

So, who's Nicholson down to?

"It's going to be between Stanford, North Carolina, Virginia, Michigan and Virginia Tech," he said. "Probably the ones with a more realistic shot are the places he's visited, North Carolina, Virginia and Stanford."

Moore touched on those finalists for Nicholson a bit more.

"I think it's the fact that he visited Stanford and they have that tradition and education. He liked what he saw and they've done a good job trying to recruit him on the West Coast. In my mind, they've done probably better than some schools that are closer," he said. "With Virginia, I think it's probably the relationship in terms of the coaches and of course it doesn't hurt to get a quality education at Virginia.

"For North Carolina, I think he liked them from the beginning. He liked what he saw from the campus and the program. They've done a pretty good job of recruiting him."
