Four Southeastern Conference programs have vaulted into the lead for Pompano Beach (Fla.) Ely defensive tackle Donte'e Nicholls.
"Right now, my top schools are South Carolina, Auburn, Georgia, and Florida," Nicholls said.

The 6-foot-2, 270-pounder, who bench presses 330 pounds and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.9 seconds, had positive comments for each of his four favorites.
South Carolina: "They have a big-time coach in Steve Spurrier. I grew up following him when he was at Florida. He has a tradition of turning around programs. I like the way they play, and I saw that they beat Florida last year, and I know they need defensive linemen."
Auburn: "I just like the total program at Auburn. I like the way they play defense."
Georgia: "Georgia has tradition. I also like their head coach, Mark Richt. He is a pretty cool dude. I've had the chance to speak to him a few times."
Florida "Well, I used to play with some of their players, so it's cool knowing some of their guys. I like the area, the coaching staff and their defensive scheme."
A decision could come from Nicholls during the season.
"My coach and I are going to sit down next month and take a look at the schools that are recruiting me and make a list of all the pros and cons, then I am going to take a few visits, probably during the season, and then I'll be ready to make my decision," he said.
The big defensive tackle also has offers from Arizona State, Central Florida, Duke, Wake Forest and Wisconsin.
Nicholls has only been to two camps this summer.
"I have attended camps so far at Bethune-Cookman, and the South Florida Rutgers camp," he said. "I think I did pretty well because they both offered me a scholarship."
Nicholls is the No. 44 overall prospect in the Rivals.com Florida Top 100.
