Ngata to take other trips

Nebraska and Washington remain neck-and-neck for the signature of Salt Lake City Highlands defensive tackle Haloti Ngata.
Still, Ngata insists that he is still going to take all five of his official visits. He recently scheduled his last one and is also switching another one up.

“I’m going to Texas A&M on November 23,” Ngata said. “They play Texas, so it should be a good game to see.”
Ngata actually has already made one visit to Aggieland. He was one of the top prospects at Texas A&M’s NIKE camp held this summer.
Meanwhile, Ngata is also moving his visit to UCLA that had been originally scheduled for Nov. 9 back to sometime in December.
“The coach just asked me if I could come in December instead. He said he wants to spend more time with me and that that would be tough to do when they have a game and all.”
Ngata says he expects to visit UCLA most likely on Dec. 14.
A Nov. 30 trip to Oregon rounds out Ngata’s official visits. He had already visited Nebraska for its game with Notre Dame and visited Washington on Oct. 5.
Ngata, who is 6-foot-5, says he has added another ten pounds to his playing weight this fall, so he’s now up to 310 pounds. He clocked a 4.78-second 40-yard dash at one summer camp.
