Ngakoue transfers schools

Linebacker Yannick Ngakoue has been one of the fastest rising prospects in the region, which has included two more recent offers. Along the way he also decided to recently transfer schools, as he has gone from Archbishop Carroll to Washington (D.C.) Friendship Collegiate Academy.
"I transferred because it was more of an opportunity for me," said Ngakoue. "Coach Raheem is giving me the exposure that I deserve."

While the transfer was recent, Ngakoue already feels right at home.
"Over at Friendship we do not call each other teammates, we call each other brothers," said Ngakoue. "The transfer is good."
Ngakoue's two most recent offers came in recently from Tennessee and Maryland.
"It felt great," he said. "I knew it was a blessing from God."
His first SEC offer from Tennessee definitely seemed to make a lasting impression.
"It feels great to know that I can play on a SEC level of football," said Ngakoue. "Like I said, it's all God's work. I can't stress that enough."
Ngakoue does not have any upcoming college visits scheduled, but he will attend a camp tomorrow.
"I'm going to the MDHigh Showcase on Saturday," he said. "My teammates and I will definitely get it in on Saturday. I'm hoping to prove that I'm an Army Bowl or Under Armour Bowl caliber player."
