Ngakoue still undecided

Yannick Ngakoue is taking his time and doing his due diligence. After an early commitment to Maryland and subsequent de-commitment, the four-star linebacker from Washington (D.C.) Friendship Collegiate Academy has been making the rounds, visiting Florida State and South Carolina.
"The South Carolina visit was fun," said the 6-foot-3, 240-pound Ngakoue. "The coaches told me how I would be used in the game and about my chance to play early.

"Florida State was telling me almost the same thing as South Carolina about playing early and showing me around campus," he said. "I want to major in kinesiology so they showed me all the different stuff I could get into with that and how the student program is set up so they can help me do well."
Ngakoue is still considering Maryland but there is no clear favorite.
"Everybody is equal right now," said Ngakoue. "People always ask me if I like one school more than another and I always say no because all three schools are wonderful schools."
The Terrapins and Gamecocks have been rumored as the leaders as the two favorites to land Ngakoue's commitment. Interestingly enough, his teammate and friend, Derwin Gray, is committed to Maryland and another friend, Na'Ty Rodgers, recently committed to South Carolina.
Even with this in mind, Ngakoue isn't feeling any peer pressure.
"I'm not feeling torn at all between them," he said. "I'm making my own decision just like they did."
Ngakoue plans on announcing his decision on signing day at his school.
