Ngachie taking it slow

Olney (Md.) Good Counsel athlete Marcel Ngachie holds four scholarships. The 5-foot-11, 212-pounder is remaining patient as new interest is starting to come in.
"I still have the same offers from Delaware, Hawaii, Syracuse and Virginia," he said. "Maryland is talking to me along with UMass and James Madison.

"They have just come by school and said they are interested. Contact will surely pick up once the season is over with."
At the moment though, Ngachie has four offers. Is he doing much with his recruitment?
"Not right now," he said. "Right now I'm focusing on our season and a championship. Once the season is over, I'll see. I am going to try to take some unofficial visits, but I haven't really scheduled anything yet."
The two-star went so far as to say that none of the schools truly stand out amongst the group. But, he does have some idea what he wants in his future team.
"At this point, I'm just worried about playing time and then it's academics and the weight program," he said. "Those are the things I'm looking for in a college."
Ngachie has helped Good Counsel to a 6-1 record.
"I've been playing well," he said. "Our defense is really playing good and I can trust my teammates.
"I think I'm a lot faster this year. Nobody is perfect, but I'm missing less tackles this year than last and playing well."
