1. Jamal Adams, LSU

2. Malik Hooker, Ohio State

3. Jabrill Peppers, Michigan

4. Obi Melifonwu, UConn

5. Budda Baker, Washington

WHY ADAMS IS NO. 1

Adams is very aggressive and covers a ton of ground. He does a good job of reading the play, closes very well and I love the way he supports the run. He’s not very long or big and that could be an issue for some, but he makes up for that with his aggression and anticipation. I compare him to Earl Thomas because he’s a tad undersized (not quite as small as Thomas) but plays much bigger. Hooker is super athletic with great ball skills and length and Peppers is versatile. Melifonwu doesn’t jump out on tape but the measurables and testing make him a raw, intriguing prospect. Baker is very undersized but is all over the field.
