Newton naming any leader

Bennetsville (S.C.) Marlboro County quarterback Syvelle Newton took his first official visit this past weekend, but he's suddenly become quiet about the recruiting process.
"It was a good visit," said the 6-foot-2, 210-pounder of his official trip to Clemson. "I spoke to the coaches, the players and hung out with a bunch of different recruits. Clemson was nice and they'll be in the mix until I decide."

So when will his decision come?
"Not until Signing Day and I'm not naming a favorite until I decide," he said. "I have South Carolina coming up this weekend and I have UCLA the weekend after that. I also have South Carolina State set for Jan. 31 just in case I need it."
Newton is ranked as the No. 5 dual-threat quarterback in the nation and the No. 2 player in South Carolina.
