Newton makes call to the Cowboys
Girard, Kan. athlete Seth Newton liked what he found out about Oklahoma State and it didn’t take him long to make a decision.
“I have committed to Oklahoma State,” the 6-foot-3, 170-pound Newton said. “I just felt the best there. It was the right place for me to go.”

Newton called the Cowboy coaches to notify them of his decision.
“Coach Miles was real happy,” he said. “They are a good program headed in the right direction. I’m looking forward to being part of that in the future.”
Newton had a scholarship offer from Kansas and also considered Texas A&M.
“A&M had not offered me a scholarship,” Newton said. “I was down there for a team camp last week and they did not offer. They showed interest, but nothing about offering me. I just felt like everything I was looking for could be found at Oklahoma State.”
