According to his mother, three-star defensive tackle Darryl Richard of Destrehan, La., did make his official visit to Notre Dame this weekend. But it looks like it’ll be Monday before Irish fans hear the results of the visit.
“He’s not due back until late, late tonight,” his mother said. “I didn’t even get a chance to talk to him and see how the visit went. He was so busy. I guess that’s a good thing. He’ll not be in until late tonight, so it’s best to call back tomorrow.”
Richard, who is 6-foot-4 and 285 pounds, visited Notre Dame and is also set up to visit Stanford on January 9. He has scholarship offers from Colorado, LSU, Notre Dame, Stanford, Tulane and UCLA.
Richard is ranked as the No. 13 player in the state of Louisiana and as the No. 29 defensive tackle in the nation by Rivals.com.
