Newell has three favorites

Defensive end/tight end Kyle Newell is currently looking at three schools. Is he getting closer to making a decision?

The 6-foot-5, 230-pound prospect from Bethlehem (Pa.) Catholic in 4.6 seconds and has attracted the attention of many of the nation's top programs over the past couple of seasons.

"Right now I'm really looking hard at Maryland, Tennessee and Virginia," said Newell. "Those three are recruiting me the hardest probably, and I feel like they've impressed me more than the other schools. Anything can happen, but right now those three are at the top of my list. I'll probably visit them at some point."

On the season Catholic is 4-3 and Newell has played a big part in his team's success.

"I have offers from each of those schools that I'm looking at, but I don't think I'm ready to make a decision. I'm focused on my season and school mostly at the moment, and I would like to take a few visits, so I would at least wait until after that to make my choice."
