Newell back from NC State
One of the quietest players when it comes to interviews this year has been Bethlehem (Pa.) Catholic defensive end/tight end Kyle Newell, who shies away from the spotlight. His visit to NC State was good, but Newell didn't give many more details.
"I had a good time," said the 6-foot-5, 230-pounder. "I liked the facilities and academically they're good. I want to study Biology and they have a good program."

Newell already visited Boston College and Maryland. Does one of the three visits stand out so far?
"I haven't compared them," he said. "I'll do that at the end."
Newell has two visits left before making that comparison.
"I'm going to Tennessee on Jan. 14 and Virginia on Jan. 21," he said. "I'll take all five and then decide."
Boston College, Maryland and Tennessee are recruiting Newell mostly as a defensive end while Virginia has mentioned defensive end and tight end. NC State has also talked about Newell playing wide receiver with his 4.6 speed.
