New York ATH could commit

The road seems clear for a New York prospect to commit to Syracuse in the next couple months.
DeAndre Preaster, a 6-foot-3, 208-pound athlete from Utica (N.Y.) Thomas R. Proctor, says he's got an offer in hand from Syracuse and hasn't heard a lot from anyone else. How does Preaster feel about the Orange's singular interest?

"I like the school", said Preaster. "They've got a lot of new good players coming in there, their record really doesn't matter. It's really just about how I fit in. It's all about Syracuse right now."
The Orange staff made a nice impression on Preaster when they took an opportunity to make a house call.
"The Offensive Coordinator and coach Robinson both came to my school," said Preaster. "That made me feel really good, like I was someone they wanted to check up on. I liked that."
While Preaster hasn't gotten a lot of buzz from some more prominent programs, he said "nothing, really" when asked what might happen that could keep him from committing to the Orange.
The only thing, according to Preaster, keeping him from committing early, is that he doesn't want to jump the gun in case a surprise offer comes in late.
