New top five for top WR Treadwell

[rl]Several teams have bounced in and out of the top group for the nation's No. 1 wide receiver, Laquon Treadwell of Crete-Monee (Ill.). But late last week the four-star pass-catcher settled on a solid top five.
"My top is Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Michigan State and Michigan," Treadwell reported. "[That is a] final five for now."

Treadwell has visited each of those schools except for the two Oklahoma-based schools. He plans an official visit to Oklahoma the weekend of Oct. 26 when the Sooners are scheduled to host Notre Dame. An official visit to Oklahoma State is planned, but a date has not been scheduled yet for that trip.
The next official visit on Treadwell's schedule will take place this coming weekend when he travels to Ole Miss. This will be Treadwell's second visit to Ole Miss this season. He previously attended their game against Texas in September.
An unofficial visit to Missouri was scheduled for this weekend, but the distance to the Tiger's campus prevented him from making the drive. Instead, Treadwell stayed close to home and attended the Notre Dame-Miami game at Soldier Field Saturday night and came away impressed with the Fighting Irish's offense.
"It was a great game overall except on a couple blown coverages," Treadwell said, "but the offense was clicking, [and the] great, young quarterback controlled the team very well. The wide receivers were making plays everywhere, and I love their style of offense."
Whether Notre Dame or other schools are able to crack Treadwell's top group down the road remains to be seen, but the five schools now up top appear to have the inside track.
